Double Raspberry Sorbet

From Radically Simple by Rozanne Gold

2/3 cup sugar
1 cup of water

1 pint of fresh raspberries
2 12 oz. pkg of frozen raspberries, thawed
1/4 cup water

Make a simple syrup with sugar and water. Cool.
Mix raspberries and 1/4 cup water in a food processor. Strain through a course sieve.
Mix in the cooled simple syrup.

Process in an ice cream maker until good texture.
